Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly said the government is moving forward with intensified efforts to implement the second phase of the state’s plan to achieve comprehensive development in Sinai.
Madbouly explained that the plan includes a wide range of projects spanning agriculture, industry, mining, and urban development, in addition to continued upgrades to infrastructure through the construction of road networks, bridges, and tunnels, as well as tourism development projects across the governorate.
His remarks came during a tour that began on Sunday to inspect several development and public service projects in North Sinai.
He noted that his visit aims to closely monitor progress and accelerate implementation across various development and service initiatives, including healthcare services, drinking water supply, and seawater desalination plants.
The projects also cover industrial developments and other strategic initiatives such as the modernization of El Arish Airport and the city’s seaport.
Madbouly added that these projects form part of a broader strategic development framework designed to achieve integrated growth in North Sinai, under the national project for developing the governorate launched by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.
The prime minister stressed that North Sinai represents a promising destination for investment, noting that the government’s vision is to transform the region into a major hub for urban, industrial, commercial, agricultural, and tourism activities in Egypt.
He reaffirmed the state’s commitment to providing all possible incentives to attract investors and support local communities, emphasizing that sustainable development in Sinai relies heavily on the participation and efforts of the people of North Sinai themselves, in line with the president’s directives.
